a phone, iPod or tablet computer (e.g. iPad). Plus the amazing variety of
inexpensive applications (apps) available are phenominal and have created a rich and diverse
culture. Mobile photography tools bring in a new era (part of history) of photography; and these following video's shows you how...

For our personalised project I was partnered with Blue and we got and ipad and went on the crossprocess app. The theme of the photo's we chose was Light & Shade; we chose this because there is so many ways you can show this, i.e standing in natural light (the sun) and you're shadow appears. As you can see the slideshow (Below) we made a few photo's varied from the sun, to the shadow of the tree etc.

Here is the mobile photography that I did for my homework:
Some of these photos are the patterns of my curtains, wallpaper, wardrobe patterns, one of my phone cases, a blanket pattern, the pattern or one of the several mirrors we have in our house, a vent, quilts, a pattern on a box of a present, and the pattern or my pyjama bottoms, (multicoloured leopard print!) (THESE ARE ALL BELOW NOT ABOVE!)

Tallis photography trip .......
All of these photos on the slideshow above are all of the photos that took on our photography day out, Sometimes it was hard taking photos of people when they kept ducking down because they thought they were getting in my way, when actually i wanted them to get in the way to get good photo's. I really enjoyed doing this because it was fun being creative taking the photo's of different things around you around the area of London, And i took some pictures of my friend blue which i thought were nice, they capture the reality of life.
Evaluation of the trip.
I didn't realise i was meant to put this evaluation section on my weebly as well as my tumblr so i just put it on my tumblr and copied and pasted it on this, and here it is:

Today my photography class and i went to summerset house exhibition as a class trip and it was really interesting to compare different photographers and artists work to each others it actually really you to improve your own work by seeing what techniques the photographer/artist has used and putting it into your own work so it really helps you reflect on your on personalized project.
This term we are focasing on the unit called ‘Personalized project’ and we are doing photo’s but with a mobile device like an ipod or a phone but just not a camera, and that is what we have been doing today!

My favourite photos.......These are my favourite photos because the first one is like you've frozen time and the first thing i looked at was the woman's hair flicking up into the air! The one below it is effective because the tree is like a background to the woman but actually the trees are overlapping on top on the woman! The 3rd one of my favourites is quite cool because the woman is ignoring me taking the picture and just walking past without looking which is what I wanted! Whether that was because she didn't want to be in the photo or she wan't bothered but it made a cool photo which is what i wanted to make an awesome photo! The fourth one I think is great because it is like time has frozen because the boy that is doing a front flip is paused upside down it looks awesome.

The photos that aren't so good. There are only 3 that i think aren't the best photo's I've taken and the first photo is not very interesting because it is just wire, the only thing i can say thats good about the first picture is that it is colourful with the orange and black stripes.
The second photo was okay but there isnt very much detail in it, it is slightly boring it could have been better. The third picture is okay but it could have done with a few more colours in it instead of just blue, white, and brown. It could have done with more brighter colours, if i used something like instagram i could have changed the colour but i wanted it to be natural. |
At Somerset House.
When I went to SummerSet house my favourite photographer was Tim Walker, because he tells story's with his images, the image (right) is my favourite story.

Advantages and disadvantages of mobile photography.......
The main advantages of mobile photography are:
Here is a great article in the rise of mobile photography.
- your camera is nearly always with you if it attached to your phone or other mobile device. This makes it easy to engage in photography as part of your normal daily life.
- camera phones are light and easy to transport. You don't need to lug round lots of lenses and a heavy camera body.
- there are a huge variety of apps available so that you can shoot, edit and upload your images straight from your device without the need to connect to a computer
- there is a huge community of people interested in mobile photography willing to share their images, ideas and tips for success
- mobile phone lenses tend to be low resolution, often producing images that can't be enlarged or printed very effectively
- not having a viewfinder means that it can be difficult photographing in bright light
- although you can buy interchangeable lenses for your phone camera they are expensive and cumbersome. Most people stick with the lens that comes with the camera
- it is tempting to rely on the apps to make your picture interesting rather than working a bit harder to create a successful image

Searching for reflections in Tallis...During lessons me and Blue went out and took the Tallis ipod touches to find photos that give out reflections, I used the app called Hueless which gave the black and white effect which worked well with the topic of reflection. We mainly found boards with plastic covers on them! We found plenty of windows, lastly we went to the toilets to get photos of the silver taps and the dryers that gave off good reflections. The slide show (Left) shows you how I got on....
