camera obscura's!
Some people just think that you need a camera to get or take photos but you don't; you use photographic paper and unusual objects for cyanotypes, photographic paper and unusual objects and a dark room for photograms and a cardboard tube tape etc and a big bright sun for a camera obscura (check unit one for more information.)
In our lesson we made a camera obscura in groups, i was in a group with Blue and while i created these, Blue video how we made them we haven't finished editing it yet but as soon as we do it will be on this page. We created the first one where we have just one tube and we couldn't adjust it, but it made everything we saw out of it look vintage, we put a bigger hole in this camera obscura. The second camera obscura we made we put a smaller tube inside the bigger tube and a smaller pin hole in the top to see if it made a difference and it did because you could only see a tiny hole of light where we put the pin; but it turns out that we need to use the second tube inside to zoom in to see the bigger and better detail and it really worked! They both worked and looked amazing!

What will you need.you will need a medium sized tube (preferably cardboard), scissors, cello tape, duck tape, tin foil, grease proof paper, and lastly a pin.
steps: 1. grab a medium sized cardboard tube like a kitchen role holder, and cut 5cm off the top. 2. put the grease proof paper in between the tube and the cut off lid. 3.cello tape the grease proof paper down and use duct tape to attach the two ends together, but leave the top open. 4.put tin foil over the open top and use duck tape to stick it down. use your pin to make a tiny little hole directly in the middle of the tin foil. 5.make sure everything is secure and look through a window but it will only work if its a really sunny day. |
